The Lodges

SGLE is currently composed of 3 operational lodges with the possiblity of expansion into various territories.

Imhotep Lodge No. 1

The GrandMaster’s Lodge is a by invitation only lodge which deals mainly with esoteric reasearch as well as guidance and leadership of existing lodges within the group.

Kemet Lodge No. 2

This lodge is the main lodge and works in the Arabic language in the Ancient Egyptian Ritual (AER) which is the principal ritual of the Grand Lodge.

Isis Lodge No. 3

Working in the English language, this lodge caters for all our non-Arabic speaking brethren who live in Egypt.

How We Work

What is the Ancient Egyptian Ritual?

Origins

The ritual dates back to 65,000 years and was intiially performed in full silence, in a time when words weren’t needed to express one’s thoughts.

Application

It has currently been very slightly modified to be inclusive, and to bring together the practices of Western Freemasonry in order to highlight the true origins of the Royal Art.

Current Usage

All 3 lodges within SGLE utliize exclusively this Ancient Ritual. Whilst SGLE is open to other rituals, it primarily promotes the beautiful usages and themes of the Ancient Egyptian Ritual.

Lodges

Eastern Freemasonry is the founding corner stone of all Masonic traditions and obediences worldwide. It has been buried deep in the sand for over 65 millenia. The modern Western Tradition derives all of its origins from Kemet, the Ancient Land of Egypt where true building happened in all senses of the word. True Masonry is not founded on any Judaic tradition and is not Judeo-Christian in any way or form. It predates the Abrahamic traditions by millenia and therefore the only true basis for Freemasonry, lies in the Land of Ancient Egypt.

As much as we would like to disclose who we are, the present environment of some individuals, and not the government prohibit us from doing this for our own safety. In turn, the only way of currently contacting the Grand Lodge is via email.

Didnt’ Egypt practice Freemasonry before?

Yes, In 1798 Napoleon brought Western Fremasonry to Egypt where it thrived until 1958. The then government abolished Freemasonry for political reasons.

Where was the Ancient Egyptian Ritual founded?

In Cairo, where it was written in both English and Arabic in order to provide the necessary knowledge for all citizens of this world.

Which schools do you adhere to?

The Ancient Egyptian Ritual is a founding ritual. We do not adhere to any school and are happy to share knowledge with all those who truly pursue it for no personal gain.

What about political affiliations?

This Grand Lodge has no political affilaitions, nor does it intend to have any. We welcome all those who wish to practice the Royal Art and are happy to receive invitations from those who wish to invite us to their Institutions.

Do you admit women?

The Sacred Feminine is an integral part of our Ancient Culture. The Internatinal Order for the Sisterhood of Isis is the female arm of our Grand Lodge. It is an independent separate entity as we do not allow mixed lodges within our Grand Lodge.

Can i Join?

There are only two ways of joining our lodges. You must either be initiated IN EGYPT or as a MM you can request to be accepted as an Associate Member.
